This Amish grocery store carries an array of useful household items plus home-made Amish breads, jams, pies, fresh fruits and vegetables. American Countryside Farmers Market - A place like no other! This three story structure is constructed in the old-world tradition using wooden pegs to hold the mortis and tenon wood joints together. The expansive building, longer than a football field, features hundreds of solid heavy timber beams, columns and braces. Built by seven Amish carpenter crews. Open Thurs-Sat. Boats & Canoes - For rental by day or hour. Cross Country Skiing, Fishing - Bass, bluegill, etc. State license required. Horse Trails - For owners of horses (no rentals available), Swimming - Free beach, and Picnic Areas Tables, grills, picnic shelters, playground equipment, playfields (only 15 minutes from B&B). Pick-up CD from Scottish B&B and hear and feel the experiences of the Amish as you drive in the Amish countryside and learn about the history of the area. Very educational and informative!
